The official channel for the TV anime "Shikanoko's Adventures in Deerland" has released a new video that has taken viewers by surprise. The anime is scheduled to start on July 7th, and on June 25th, the official channel released a very unique video. The content was unexpected for viewers, with reactions such as "An anime that's officially crazy is a divine rule of anime," "Before watching → What is this... After watching → What is this..." and "It's not even started yet, but it's already so interesting it's unfair."
The official channel celebrates every fourth Tuesday as "Deer Day," and on June's Deer Day, they showcased a new imaginary commercial for "Shikanoko."
The video starts with a man in a suit and a person in a Shikanoko deer costume appearing, saying phrases like "Aim for a deer-like mind to create a new future" in a Western music style. The content resembles a corporate commercial, with profound messages like "Humanity, aspire to be deer" as a slogan, continuing to challenge for a peaceful world.
This video has already garnered over 1.5 million impressions, with confused comments such as "An anime that's officially crazy is a divine rule of anime," "A godly anime that succinctly teaches us it's an incomprehensible anime," "Maybe I'll understand if I become a deer," and "Is this from Sky Corporation?" The original creator, Oshio Oshio, commented "I don't understand anything," and Megumi Han, the voice of Shikanoko, said "Don't think. Feel."
Personally, I can only say "it makes no sense," but with the official channel going this far, can we expect something in the actual anime? It makes you look forward to it whether you want to or not.
"Shikanoko's Adventures in Deerland" is a gag comedy centered around a former delinquent high school girl and a horned girl named Shikanoko. Created by Oshio Oshio, the series moved from "Shonen Magazine Edge" to "Magazine Pocket" and is now being animated. The director is Masahiko Ohta, known for "Yuru Yuri" and "Himouto! Umaru-chan," with WIT STUDIO handling the animation production.
On May's Deer Day, the official channel also posted an "Intro Endurance 1 Hour" video looping the intro part of the opening theme "Deer-colored Days" to help viewers remember the long title, which has recorded over 5 million views.
There's a rumor among fans that they might have more tricks up their sleeve. With all this commotion before it even starts, it seems the buzz won't die down even after the broadcast begins.
