"I Parry Everything: The World's Strongest by Mistake Wants to be an Adventurer" is a Japanese light novel by Nabeshiki. It has been serialized on the novel posting site "Shousetsuka ni Narou" since October 17, 2019. The book version has been published by Earth Star Novel (Earth Star Entertainment) since September 15, 2020. The illustrations are by Kawaguchi. As of March 10, 2020, it has achieved first place in the annual overall ranking on "Shousetsuka ni Narou".
Synopsis
Noel, a boy who dreams of traveling the world, fighting monsters, and protecting people as an adventurer, is cruelly assessed as having "no talent in anything." But if he has no talent, he just has to work harder than anyone else! He tirelessly polishes his lowest skill—Parry, which deflects attacks—for over a decade, eventually growing to deflect a thousand swords. However, even if he masters it, the lowest skill alone does not make him an adventurer, and Noel, without realizing it, possesses the power of the world's strongest class while living his days doing odd jobs around town. One day, he accidentally saves Princess Lean from a monster attack, and Noel's fate begins to turn in an unexpected direction...! This is the story of a humble, unconsciously strongest man who, with his polished bottom-tier skill Parry, mows down the mighty.
